SUMOTORI Japan announces the appointment of two senior professionals to its leadership structure, reinforcing the company’s strategic development and governance framework.
The company is honored to appoint Nakano Shinji as Outside Director. In this role, Mr. Nakano will also chair the YO BOARD (Dealer Council), supporting the development of strategic partnerships and strengthening the global positioning of the YOKOZUNA platform.
Mr. Nakano is an internationally recognized figure in the mobility industry. He competed in the Formula 1 World Championship, and has extensive experience in endurance racing, including the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Today, he is a leading motorsport commentator in Japan and an active business advisor. His global recognition and industry insight bring significant strategic value to SUMOTORI Japan, particularly in strengthening its brand and international network.
In addition, Atsushi Oshida has been appointed as Corporate Auditor. As a licensed tax advisor, Mr. Oshida provides independent oversight of the company’s financial and compliance functions. His role focuses on ensuring the integrity of financial reporting, strengthening internal controls, and supporting sustainable interaction with financial institutions.
